And now enjoy the ride of The Fate of the Furious Product Placement.
In the beginning of the movie we see Dom’s cousin with a can of Coke. This is just right before Dom has to challenge the local street racer to win his car back. The guy’s car is equipped with Kirkey racing seats.
After the race Dom’s honeymoon with Letty was ruined by Cipher (Charlize Theron). She forces Dom to play for her team of criminals. In this scene we spot Apple iPhone.
When Hobbs is being recruited right in the middle of his football team training, we see him wearing his favourite Under Armour sportswear. When he’s being instructed about the EMP device he has to obtain we see another Apple gadget. Now it is an iPad Pro.
Later in the movie we spot more Apple products. And for the first time in the Saga we see Hisense TV. And more hi-tech gadgets are on their way. We can see a Cleankeys washable keyboard and a Razer Blade laptop.
When the boys get to the “toy shop” full of cars we finally spot more car parts, fluids, and racing brands. Among them are Pirelli, Motul, Eibach, Borla, aFe Power, ANSA Motorsports, KTM, VP Racing, and many others. We even see Doosan, the global industry leader in the engineering, manufacturing and marketing of compact and heavy construction equipment.
The Fate of the Furious has so many brands included in the movie, so it can easily outnumber the previous parts together. They even have a very close snapshot of the NCR ATM. And one of the hackers is wearing Bose headphones.
When Dom meets Shaw’s mother in a pub we are not surprised to see Bud Light there. Meanwhile Hobbs and Shaw are getting the cars ready for action. In their garage we see the Snap-On tools table.
In the Times Square scene product placement reaches the next level. There is a huge number of brands of beverages, telecom, electronics, etc. Here are just a few with the main focus: Samsung, T-Mobile, Toshiba, TDK, Tencent QQ messenger, China Mobile, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, and others.
During the chase we notice Ramsey using another keyboards brand. Now it is our well-known Logitech. More Apple and Budweiser is included as well.
When we move to the ice chase scene the only brand we see here is Letty’s car Recaro seats.
In the final scene when the crew gathers on the roof to enjoy their meal and welcome little Brian into the family, first we see Allianz billboards, and then more beer and soft drinks: Budweiser, Coca-Cola, and Corona Extra, of course.
